Laundry Basket

A simple laundry basket gave these hooligans loads of laughs as well as a few gasps of horror from dearest momma.  The bigs plopped Miss Mia, who is looking a little Archie Bunker-ish in these photos, into a laundry basket.  I'm pretty sure they tossed aside the neatly folded clean clothes (because this mother would never have any piles or baskets of dirty laundry laying around) that were piled in that basket to make room for Mia and Elmo.  And, they took off running.  Literally.  They pushed her in circles around the house.  She cackled and death-clutched one handle of the basket and Elmo while taking the ride of her life.  I snapped some pictures before I had to shut down the whole event as one of the bigs noticed the enticing carpet covered stairwell on one of the laps through the foyer.  Good lord.  You can thank me later for that, Elmo.

Can you see the fear of God in poor Elmo's eyes. I love that he is in the wave pose.

Archie Bunker getting a little restless because I made them stop for a photo shoot.  She's like "Get this thing going.  I want to hear the snap of static electricity as I shoot across the tile to the carpet."

Whack!

Look at what our little bleeding heart did?  Tessa chopped her hair off to donate it!  We are all affected by cancer in some way or another.  And, unfortunately we know people suffering right now.  But, we also know strong and awesome survivors too.  I'm not sure where it came from but in all honesty it was her idea to donate it.  We were totally on board.  How could we not.  3 8-inch ponytails from Miss Tessa.  Of course, she inspired her brother who wanted to donate his hair to "men who cannot grow beards."  I'm not sure how well that campaign is going but it was a kind gesture.

Born to...

We all know that kids will say the darndest things.  Well, Tessa brought home this writing piece and it did nothing but warm my heart and make me smile.  When asked what she was "born to do"  she responded with "I was born to laf (translation: phonetic spelling of laugh)."  Seriously.  How adorable and simply awesome is that?  And, it couldn't be any more true.

Hell on Wheels

Remember the 1970 walker on wheels?  I'm pretty sure they've all been recalled.  Well, we got one.  And Mia is a little hellion on those wheels!  We tossed the kids in our glamorous unfinished basement and let her roll around with the bigs.  And, you throw a couple of cheerios on that tray and Miss Piggy is a happy clam.

Happy Valentines Day!

Tessa and Gramma Char hosted a Valentines Day party for all of the ladies in Tessa's kindergarten class.  We doused the house in pink and red and hearts.  There were lots of sweet treats, games and crafts.  That Gramma Char can really be creative and really knows how to command a crowd of young ladies!

The REAL Denard Robinson

Now, I know that we here at Blabbermouth have fondly referred to our littlest nugget as Denard Robinson.  So you probably expected another round of pictures of my squishy little blond Mia that doesn't look a thing like a Baughman let alone a Denard Robinson.  Well, guess what.  We actually got to see the adorable and friendly Denard in the flesh!  He was at a local store signing autographs and let me tell you he's a popular guy. That line was long and that good dude sat there with a smile on his face for hours and hours.  We had to squeeze our visit to Denard in between hoops games so we actually didn't get to chat with or hug him at all.  But we still got the thrill of seeing him without all of his pads, untied shoes and winged helmet!  I'm sure if he had the chance to meet his namesake he would have been nothing but a flattered gentleman.

Cheer Tots

Tessa is making her Aunt Lola and Papa Kenny proud by aspiring to be a cheerleader.  A couple of practices and this girl was ready to take the gym floor at the varsity basketball game.

Mia's got teeth!

I got toofers!  Two razor blade sharp ones!
The first one popped up back in December.  And it's twin came shortly after.
Mia is keeping those little chompers busy.  Look at those cheeks!

January Birthdays at the lake

Kendall, Gramma and Boz had their birthday celebration at the lake...winter style!  And, well, it was Lola's birthday celebration too but baby Mason doesn't even get to go to the grocery store at his early age let alone make a road trip to Michigan!  It was tons of cold and fun.

 Tessa and Molly
Mia cozy inside watching the bigs and the cousins outside
Archer Lake...those are fish huts and ice fisherman out there.
Kendall, Tessa, Zack, Nate and Molly...ON THE ICE!  What!  Seriously.  I'm having palpitations.
Oh, and here's another grande idea...

And, now we are endangering the neighbor children's lives...
